Felicity Jones is a British actress best known for playing the role of Jane Hawking in the critically well-reviewed film The Theory of Everything. Jones was first introduced to acting when she was twelve years old. She has worked as actress in numerous plays, television shows, and film. Jones started her career as an actor in the television movie The Treasure Seekers. In the following film, The Worst Witch (a television series) she played Ethel Hallow. The sequel Weirdsisters college was also filmed. In her first feature film Flashbacks of a Fool (which she starred in), Young Ruth, she continued to act in other movies. In films such as The Invisible Woman and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 she gained notoriety for her character. Her performance on the screen in The Theory of Everything was which earned her her first Oscar nomination. The biopic was based on the biography of the physicist Stephen Hawking, and Jones received a lot of praise from the public and reviewers for her impeccable portrayal of Hawking's former wife. Inferno was the second film she starred in with Tom Hanks. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles gave Jones the British Artist of the Year in 2016 due to her extraordinary talent and contribution to film.
